Extent of available data.
This data layer identifies the 2018 Impaired Wetlands. It was developed by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). Impaired Wetlands have been identified by the MPCA as failing to meet one or more water quality standards. These standards have been developed to indicate when waters are no longer drinkable, swimmable, fishable, or usable in other designated ways. If a wetland is listed as impaired in Minnesota, it is required that a Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) be developed for the impairment. A TMDL outlines a plan to address the impairment and remove the wetland from the list.
