This National Land Cover Database (NLCD) 2011 dataset represents percent developed imperviousness. It was produced at a 30m resolution by the Multi-Resolution Land Characteristics Consortium and is based on Landsat imagery. The NLCD is produced in five year intervals with the first version released in 2001. The 2016 version is scheduled for release in December, 2018. Imperviousness of ground surfaces has implications for water runoff, affecting soil, surface water, groundwater, and stream conditions.
