This data layer represents the change in the Impervious Surface Component of the National Land Cover Database (NLCD) from 2006 to 2011. It was developed by the Multi-Resolution Land Characteristics Consortium and is based on Landsat imagery. It has a resolution of 30 meters. The NLCD is produced in five year intervals with the first version released in 2001. The 2016 version is scheduled for release in December, 2018. This dataset can be useful in understanding trends in land cover change and development over time.
